Specialty: Watercolor & Botanical Illustration
Victor builds tattoos that look painted rather than drawn — loose watercolor washes, botanical linework, and a color sense borrowed from illustration. She works closely on placement so each piece moves with the body.

Sunscreen, SPF 30 or higher, every time it's going to see daylight — even a couple years healed. UV is what fades a tattoo faster than anything else. In a Missouri summer I tell people don't count on a t-shirt sleeve either, thin cotton doesn't block much. A cheap sport-stick SPF in your bag is the difference between a piece that still looks sharp in five years and one that's gone soft and blue.

Depends on where. Ribs, inner arm, and feet are the ones people tap out on. Outer arm and upper back are the easiest sits I do. It's a scraping feeling more than a stabbing one — most first-timers tell me it's a lot less than they built it up to be in their head.

About two weeks to look healed, closer to a month before it's actually done underneath. Don't judge it by day 5 — that's peeling season and it looks rough no matter how well you're taking care of it. If it's still weeping past day 10, that's when I want a text, not before.
